welcome to mandira

Mandira is a Sanskrit word meaning “temple” or “dwelling,” often understood as a space where the sacred is held. It reflects our intention to create a peaceful, intentional space for healing, learning, and meaningful connection in downtown Fairfield.

Founded by Maggie Taylor and Sue Longo, Mandira is guided by experience, discernment, and respect for the body, the mind, the emotions, the nervous system, and the natural and spiritual world. The space is intentionally designed with attention to energy and the elements, creating a welcoming and supportive environment. Our offerings are thoughtfully guided and accessible to all.

Mandira hosts a wide range of offerings, including specialized yoga, meditation, breathwork, sound healing, somatic practices, ceremony, and community gatherings. The focus is on embodied practice, nervous system support, and creating space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with what is meaningful to you.

In addition to classes and events, Mandira also offers select certification programs and advanced trainings for those seeking deeper study and professional development in embodied practice and facilitation. Please check out our events calendar to learn more about our offerings or stop by Element 50 next door if class is in session to learn more.

Please check out our extended events calendar to see more offerings and to learn more. If you stop by and we aren’t there or class is in session, come stop by Element 50.

We host any of our offerings as private events for friends and corporations so please reach out to Sue if this is of interest.
