  • mandira is a sacred space for healing, community, and transformation. We offer yoga, meditation, sound healing, workshops, ceremonies, and more. We honor the whole self, body, mind, and spirit and invite our community into practices that are soulful, inclusive, trauma-informed, and heart-led.

  • mandira is a beautiful Sanskrit word meaning temple or sacred space. To us, with deep reverence, it represents a return to inner peace, remembrance, and community.

  • We are located at 14 Sanford Street in the heart of downtown Fairfield, CT. We are walking distance from the train station.

  • To book classes, you’ll need to create an account through our Union platform. It’s quick and easy:

    Once your account is created, you can book classes, manage your schedule, and track your purchases with ease.

  • We kindly ask for at least 12 hours notice for cancellations. You can cancel directly through your Union account. If you cancel in time, your class credit will be saved to use later. This helps us plan our mat layout and welcome others into the space.

  • Pricing varies by offering. Details are always listed with each event. Class details are always listed at union.mandira.site.

  • Street parking is available on Sanford Street, Post Road, and near the train station. Check for posted time limits (2 or 3 hours), and give yourself extra time during peak hours.

  • Our hours vary by class and event. We do not have a waiting room, so if the door and curtains are closed, we ask that you honor the class privacy and come back later. You’re always welcome to visit us at Element 50 around the corner to learn more.

  • Just yourself. We provide mats, blocks, bolsters, and all necessary props. You’re welcome to bring your own mat or water bottle. Please dress comfortably.

  • You’re in the perfect place to begin. All classes, ceremonies, and sessions are beginner-friendly and guided with care. For new yoga students, we recommend starting with Hatha (gentle) yoga.

  • Our classes are open-level, welcoming beginners to advanced practitioners. Some events include movement, others are more meditative, please read each description.

  • Pre-registration is strongly encouraged to reserve your spot, as our space is intimate. Many of our classes are run in session format so please reach out to the teacher of the class regarding drop ins.

  • If you experience any issues while signing up on the mandira site, here are a few quick fixes that usually help:

    • Refresh your browser or try opening the link in a new browser window (sometimes Safari/Chrome glitches)

    • Clear your cache and cookies if the page doesn’t load properly.

    • If the problem continues, please email Maggie or Sue directly and we will reserve fro you

    • If the class is run by a certain teacher, pleas reach out to them directly

    We want this process to be simple and smooth so if you need help, just reach out.

  • Yes. Maggie offers private yoga, sound, Reiki, energy healing, mentorship, and coaching. Sue offers private astrology readings and crystal curation sessions tailored to your energy and intention.

  • We offer class packs and workshop passes through our site. Again they are specific to classes, so please read the fine print on where the class packs can be applied.

  • Yes. Many ceremonies and select classes are live-streamed. Virtual access is available through Union or Zoom, depending on the event. If you sign up for a virtual event, please check your receipt email for link info.

  • We do. We offer youth yoga and teen wellness classes that support confidence, mindfulness, and emotional well-being. Check our schedule for current offerings.

  • Yes. We offer a community book club at no cost and occasional pop-up by donation or free events.

  • No, we are not a hot yoga studio. All sessions are held at a comfortable room temperature.

  • Yes. Gift cards can be used toward classes, events, or private sessions — a beautiful gift for anyone on a healing path.

  • Absolutely. Just have them register in advance through Union or reach out for support getting started.

  • Please arrive 5–10 minutes early to settle in. As we do not have a waiting area, the door will be locked once class begins to preserve the sanctity of the space.

  • We kindly ask that you arrive on time. If the class has started, a sign will be placed on the door. Please honor the moment and plan to join us next time.

  • Our classes draw from a variety of traditions — gentle Hatha, mindful Vinyasa, Restorative, and Kundalini — often woven with meditation, sound, and Reiki. Each teacher brings their own essence, so feel free to reach out for personalized guidance.

  • You are welcome. Please let your teacher know before class so we can offer safe, supportive modifications. Many classes are gentle and adaptable.

  • Yes, we love to host custom group experiences, birthdays, bridal circles, or sacred ceremonies. Reach out to Maggie or Sue to co-create something special.

  • Yes we have many coming in 2026, including the Jarosa Yoga 200 hours Certification, Kids Yoga Teacher Training and Reiki 1, 2 and master level. Visit our events page or inquire for upcoming opportunities.

  • Your well-being is our priority. We keep the space clean and high-vibrational. Mats and props are sanitized regularly. If you’re unwell, please rest and return when you feel better.

  • All class and event facilitation at mandira is by invitation only. Facilitators are invited through a process of relationship, resonance, and intuitive guidance from Maggie and Sue.
